Meltus , a member of the xda-develepers forum has created some very interesting patches for boosting the volume on your android device. You just need to download the files, and push them to your device, reboot and be surprised, as I was.
I’ll only write what you need to do for the Generation 7, V2 revision 2 patch, which his claims to be:
Completely distortion-less! The most popular version due to it’s loud volume and good sound quality. Now being used pre-built into many custom ROMs.
So, download the zip from here and unzip it. I’ve unzipped them in a folder named x, just to keep it short, so replace x with your folder’s name.
adb remount (sudo adb remount for linux users) - wait for the 'remount succeeded' message adb push x/AudioFilter.csv system/etc adb push x/AudioPara4.csv system/etc adb push x/AudioPreProcess.csv system/etc - If Version requires adb push x/AudioPara4_TMUS.csv system/etc - Optional
After pushing all the files, just:
adb shell reboot
This sound patch was my personal choice, I’ve tried others too, but this one seemed to be the best. If you want to experiment with other patches, or you have problems, follow his thread
