Since, i’ve had a hard time finding the right package of iGo on the Internet I thought that it would be nice to create this little howto. So.. first of all, I’m using iGO MyWay 220.127.116.11242 with a resolution of 800×480. The installation is pretty simple. So, first of all download this archive: http://rapidshare.com/files/452216368/iGOMyWay_18.104.22.168242.zip
Extract it, and you’ll find an APK and a folder. You have to copy the iGo folder to the root of your sdcard(leave the folder’s name intact), and install the APK. Sadly, the iGo folder doesn’t contain any map, but.. you can find them on the public trackers. After finding the maps, place them in iGo/content/map.
To understand exactly what maps do you need, here’s a little explanation:
1) The compatibility to the iGo version it’s the first number from the map’s name, right after the country. If this number is just a number.. let’s say 8, then it’s for iGo 8.0. If it’s 8.3 it’s compatible with 8.3, 8.4 and 8.5
2) The release date or the trimester: Every trimester a new map is released. In the name of the map, you can see Q and a number from 1 to 4, or you can see the release date. These are placed right before the initials of the producer (TM – TopMap, TA – TeleAtlas, NQ – NavTeq)
