Do you wish that you’re device wouldn’t lock when you’re reading something, or doing anything else that requires a small pause? If your running Android, you don’t have many options to stop this from happening. The xda-developers member, j4velin has developed an application that helps you delay the activation of the lockscreen. Normally, when your screen goes off, when you turn it back on, you’ll see the lockscreen. This app allows you to set a timer before the lockscreen becomes active, which may help you if your reading a book, using a GPS app that doesn’t keep the screen from sleeping.
You can download the app using the QR Code below or from the market.
*Please note that the application is TRIAL for the purpose of TESTING it. I don’t know if after he finishes the app there’ll still be a free version or not… but ‘till then we can try it. That downside is that after the screen resumes, it displays a message with the BUY IT version. It’s kind of… uncool
I can’t uninstall the app!!
For all versions < 1.1: You have to revoke the locking permissions first. Therefore go to the android security settings and tap ‘select device administrators’
The app doesn’t reactivate my lockscreen
Set up a pattern/PIN or password lock or check the "unsafe lockscreen" box in the settings
What’s the ‘Use HTC Sense delay’ option?
If you’re on a HTC Sense based ROM, you already got the option to delay the activation of the pattern/PIN/password lockscreen. but the available delay times are very limited. if you check this option, you will still using the HTC Sense style of locking, but with the ability to chose your delay time without any limit
