…everything is a bytearray after all

The post title is referring to the difference between Android 2.3.3 and Android 2.3.4 because it’s just one visible difference: Support voice and video chat using Google Talk. Of course, there are lot’s of bug fixes, but these are in any release.

So, Android 2.3.4, the latest over the air Android version update brings an exciting new feature to Android based devices. With the upgrade to Android 2.3.4 you can video or voice chat using Google Talk. Once updated you will notice a voice/video chat button next to your contact in Google Talk contact list. With one touch you can send an invitation to start a voice/video chat. You can make video calls via 3G/4G network or via Wi-Fi. Eh. Isn’t this a bit old to be posting this, as Android 2.3.5 has been out for ages, and 2.3.6 is around the corner?

Yes, it is. but some are still wondering what are the differences between 2.3.3 and 2.3.4 and if the should upgrade to 2.3.4 :) I’ll create posts about 2.3.5 and 2.3.6 too :)

Not true. There are two devices on the market withFFC’S that have 2.3.4 and no video chat is available. One of these two is my photon 4g. Also devices without front facing camera’s will not be getting the video chat but still will get 2.3.4.
