This isn’t working. As Alex said in the comments section, you need to root, S-OFF, downgrade hboot and then install this file. I’ll update the post when i find some time. For me it worked because I already had root,S-OFF and probably an old hboot. Thanks Alex
If you experience problems with Gingerbread (2.3), you can always “revert” to Froyo (2.2) by downloading the following file which is a official untouched HTC Desire RUU ROM, which means there are the official ROMs from HTC. Download this file, connect your phone via USB cable and run the installer
